Resort Workout

My mama and I decided to take my girls on a little road trip to Great Wolf Lodge during homeschool week. The rates are incredible so we thought a quick overnight trip would be fun.

Road trips always suck for me. I just want to eat. Even when I try to prepare I just end up eating crap. And more crap. And more crap. Chips, popcorn, soda, pizza. Blech. Blech. Blech! I actually have had stomach pains tonight from the junk. My stomach is saying, "What the heck were you thinking?"

After settling in at the resort, eating supper and going to storytime we headed back to our room and I hit up the resort gym. It is small with two treadmills, some ellipticalls and a few weight machines. I had to work off some of the junk calories I had consumed today.

I did 3 miles on the treadmill in a little over 36 minutes (I walked the first 3 minutes to warm up and then ran/walked the rest of the time.) After running I did some leg presses and lat pull downs. I was able to press 120 pounds before my ankle got too sore to continue increasing the weight. I am sure with a healed ankle I could increase it some more.

Tomorrow is going to be a fun workout day as we will be swimming, floating, sliding and climbing stairs to get on water rides all day long!

  1. We went to Kalahari Resort for 2 1/2 days last fall. We climbed so many stairs and played all day. It was a serious workout! I remember thinking, "I would be motivated exercise so much more if it was fun like this!!" :) :) :) Have a great time!
