Broken Record

I really am starting to feel like a broken record.  I am still struggling to maintain my weight and I am still struggling with some depression.  We have just had one thing after another happening lately.  

I ended up stopping the Advocare Cleanse three days in once I realized that it was a HORRIBLE week to be doing it.  My oldest daughter's best friend moved, our dog had a really rough week (we were really close to taking him to the vet to be put down) and my two youngest daughters' birthday party were all that week.  It was not going well at all so I decided to stop.  The good thing is that I have enough "leftovers" from previous cleanses to patch it together and restart it in a couple of weeks (AFTER Thanksgiving but before Christmas).

We've been dealing with sickness (including my four year old having pneumonia), financial worries, broken appliances, and other "life stuff."  Last week I had a headache from Thursday through Saturday.  Today some nagging wrist pain that I've been having got much worse and my fingers started feeling numb and tingly.  I am pretty certain it is carpal tunnel syndrome and so I'm trying to wear a brace as much as possible while using Ibuprofen and ice for the inflammation.  I'm praying that it will soon resolve on it's own.

But still through all the worries and chaos of life, I can say that God is good and He is in control! 

In other news, I cancelled my membership at my current gym but it won't go into effect until January 1.  I am anxious to get back to my old gym (and my friends there) but I'm going to make the most of what time I have left at my current gym by taking the girls swimming often and sitting in the sauna!  I finalized my half marathon training and decided to follow a 12 week plan I found in this month's Oxygen magazine.  I start next week and I'm already tired just looking at it!  I've never really had a time goal but I'm eyeing a sub 2:35 this time.

I'll be honest--my blogging will continue to be sparse probably for a few more weeks at least. I'll get my half marathon training plan posted  and I'll be blogging about that more in the coming weeks.

  1. Hang in there, Laura! 2013 has been the pits for me with health, life changes and more, so I can relate. Just trying to take one day at a time as I know you are too!! So glad God gives us a brand new day each day!! Hugs from afar.... Amy
